Fawcett and Koriella’s bushfire effort

Our road here in Spring Creek, Fawcett, and Koriella, in Murrindindi Shire, was decimated by fire; we lost 9 homes in Spring Creek Road and its lanes—20 homes across Fawcett and Koriella—and our paddocks are blackened.
Our hall was saved by the Koriella Fire Brigade.
We set up the hall as a mini relief centre and run community dinners each night from 6 pm in January.
As of 20/2/2026, our hall is open as a recovery hub Friday, Saturday, Sun and Monday from 9 am – 12 pm
Community potluck dinners are on each Friday evening from 6pm.
We are fundraising to ensure we can support our residents and landowners in community-led recovery.
We know money is tight
But if you help even with $5.00
It will help our little community save stock and be a big boost to our local folk.
These funds (with no fees—so 100%) are turned into gift cards accessible straight from local businesses to take the pressure off residents of Fawcett-Koriella.
- Fuel vouchers (for those without power)
- Hardware & Garden vouchers
- Food vouchers
- Tyre repair
- Chainsaw repair and/or servicing
- Ag supplies—water, fencing and fodder
We are working with 129+ landowners.
