Fawcett and Koriella’s bushfire effort
Our road here in Spring Creek, Fawcett, and Koriella, in Murrindindi Shire, was decimated by fire; we lost 9 homes in Spring Creek Road and its lanes—20 homes across Fawcett and Koriella—and our paddocks are blackened.
Our hall was saved by the Koriella Fire Brigade.
We set up the hall as a mini relief centre and ran community dinners each night from 6 pm in January.
As of 16/08/2026, our hall is open each week on a Saturday, 9 am – 12 pm
We are fundraising to ensure we can support our residents and landowners in community-led recovery.
We know money is tight
